Shelby Zgnilec is a Corporate Vice President at H.W. Kaufman Group and Chief of Staff for its largest subsidiary, Burns & Wilcox. An accomplished corporate leader, she plays a pivotal part in supporting the c-suite to drive strategic initiatives and enhance operational efficiency. Her collaborative approach and results-driven mindset empower the leadership team to realize their strategic vision.

Shelby’s career at Kaufman spans more than eight years in a variety of roles focused on championing cross-functional collaboration, integrating analytics into business operations and establishing key performance indicators to boost operational success. Her leadership has been instrumental in optimizing processes, enhancing reporting capabilities and delivering strategic counsel to the company’s global leadership team.

Beyond her operational expertise, Shelby is committed to promoting diversity and inclusion within the organization. She has co-led the Kaufman Family Advocacy Network, driving initiatives that foster a more inclusive workplace.

Shelby was honored with the Kaufman Excellence in Leadership Award in 2023, recognizing her significant contributions to the company and its culture.

She holds an undergraduate degree from Northern Michigan University and received her MBA from the University of Michigan.
