Steele Hutto is currently Burns & Wilcox Brokerage-Broker, Professional Liability in Chicago Illinois, where he manages his own book of business specializing in Professional Management Liability in addition to mentoring his direct report. With almost 15 years of industry experience, Steele is known for adding value to partners and clients by extending market reach, building and maintaining strong relationships, providing expertise in specialty areas of Professional Liability exposures and providing innovative solutions for hard to place business. Because Steele has spent time in his career as an Underwriter, as well as being experienced in the retail and wholesale side of the industry, he is able to effectively create solutions that exceed expectations. His efforts have earned him ARM, CPCU and RPLU designations. Steele graduated from University of Mississippi – School of Business Administration with a Bachelor Degree in Risk Management and Insurance. He later graduated from Vanderbilt University- Owen Graduate School of Management with a Master of Business Administration. Steele began his career in the insurance industry as an Intern with Arthur J. Gallagher, to later move onto companies such as AIG, CNA Insurance, Beecher Carlson, Marsh and CRC Insurance Services, Inc., before joining Burns & Wilcox in 2019. Steele is actively involved in the Professional Liability Underwriting Society, (PLUS).
