Matt Ritchie has 7 years of wholesale/E&S experience. Matt started his career as an Associate Underwriter in Commercial lines with Burns & Wilcox. In 2020, Matt joined the Burns & Wilcox Flood Practice Group as a specialty flood underwriter. Matt currently serves as a Senior Underwriter within the Flood Practice Group Underwriting team, where his responsibilities include leveraging technology and risk modeling to evaluate flood risks for profitability and placement within our extensive flood portfolio. Additionally, Matt works with our offices and clients nationwide to market and support our clients. The Burns & Wilcox Flood Practice Group is a recognized leader in the Private Flood Insurance space, including being awarded the 2023 "Specialty Underwriting Team of the Year" at the Inside P&C Awards. Matt graduated from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business Management.
