Liza Zarate, a seasoned insurance underwriter and broker, has been a part of the Burns & Wilcox team since 2017.  With over three decades of experience in underwriting transportation and garage risks, she brings a wealth of knowledge.  Prior to joining Burns & Wilcox, Liza spent 16 years at Myron Steves and 12 years at Elton George, honing her skills and expertise in transporation and garage.
 
Liza attended San Antonio College where she majored in accounting, equipping her with a strong foundation for her career in insurance.
 
Liza is bilingual, proficient in both English & Spanish.
 
Liza holds a TRS Designation from the Motor Carrier Insurance Education Foundation, a testament to her specialized training, evaluation and work experience.  This designation signifies her deep understanding of the trucking and transportation industry and her abiility to cater to its specific insurance needs.   Liza also holds a Surplus Lines and P&C license.
