Ian Hanson is currently Burns & Wilcox – Associate Vice President/Director of Personal Lines of the San Francisco office, which is year-over-year one of the fastest growing units for the company. With 16 years of industry experience, Ian leads his team of roughly 6 individuals in expertise such as High Value Homeowners, Not Admitted High Net-worth, Earthquake and Watercraft. Ian’s efforts have taken the San Francisco office from the 10th largest personal lines department to the 2nd largest personal lines department for Burns & Wilcox. Ian’s efforts have earned him a CIC designation, Top 10 in Overall Production Nationwide, Top 10 in New Business Production, as well as the Kaufman Leadership Award.   Ian graduated Cum Laude from University of San Francisco, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a double major in Finance and Marketing. He is also a graduate of the Kaufman Emerging Leaders Program. He began his career in the insurance industry accepting a position in the intern program with Federal Depository Insurance Corporation (FDIC), to later move onto Underwriter with Crawley Warren Insurance Services, before joining Burns & Wilcox in 2008.
