Doug Legters is a Regional Vice President at Burns & Wilcox, where he oversees the company’s Northeast region and is responsible for the collective performance of the Baltimore, Parsippany and New York offices.
 
With more than 25 years of insurance and financial industry experience, he specializes in building programs that serve niche markets. In his role at Burns & Wilcox, he focuses on driving the company’s aggressive growth strategy as it expands its regional footprint, which is best known for expertise in Commercial, Professional and Personal Insurance.
 
Doug has held a number of executive and managerial positions in underwriting, marketing, business development and operations, most notably at AXA XL Insurance Company, AmWINS, Distinguished Programs and Marsh & McLennan. Some of his biggest accomplishments have been associated with responsibilities for underwriting operations as well as distribution and carrier relations. He is known for launching successful programs that experience profitable premiums and managing multi-million-dollar business portfolios.
 
He has held positions on the Board of Directors for the Insurance Brokers Association of New York (IBANY) and the Seraphim League for the Arts and Education in Arlington, Virginia. He has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from American University in Washington D.C.
