Company Adds Experienced Professionals to Oversee San Diego and Sacramento Offices
FARMINGTON HILLS, MICH. (FEBRUARY 5, 2025) — Burns & Wilcox, a globally recognized leader in wholesale insurance brokerage and underwriting, today announced the addition of new executives to lead its San Diego and Sacramento offices.
Joseph Ross, Associate Managing Director, San Diego – Joseph comes to Burns & Wilcox with nearly 20 years of insurance experience. Most recently he served as Property Growth Leader at U.S. Risk, leading a team of property underwriters and brokers, while overseeing a large national book of property business. Previously Joseph spent six years at Atlas General Insurance Services, an RPS company, where he led training and professional development along with managing a large property book. Joseph is a graduate of Bowling Green State University where he received his degree in Business Administration.
Obie Scott, Associate Managing Director, Sacramento – Obie joins Burns & Wilcox with more than 15 years of industry experience. He previously served as the Regional Select Practice leader at USI, with responsibility for building the Northern California sales team and maintaining relationships with key carrier partners. Obie’s insurance career began at Allstate where he held a variety of leadership and sales roles across multiple business units. He received a bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University (LSU) and completed an executive education program at the Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern.
