FARMINGTON HILLS, MICH. (February 6, 2024) — Burns & Wilcox, a globally recognized leader in wholesale insurance brokerage and underwriting, today announced the hire of Andy Wood to serve as Vice President and Practice Group Leader, Professional Liability. Coming off a record-setting 2023, the Professional Liability practice delivered more than 15 percent annual growth.

Most recently, Wood led Hiscox across the Midwest, overseeing a diverse portfolio that included Technology, Errors & Omissions (E&O), Cyber, Management Liability, Miscellaneous Professional Liability, Allied Healthcare, Architects & Engineers (A&E), Casualty, Terrorism and Kidnap & Ransom (K&R). His career spans nearly three decades including other roles at Insureon, Willis and CNA.
In his new role, Wood is responsible for working across Burns & Wilcox to build a cohesive strategy and develop new products and programs while aggressively recruiting top Professional Liability producers nationwide.
