Burns & Wilcox Supports Collegiate Golfers Bailey Davis and Austin Greaser for U.S. Women’s Open and U.S. Open

Farmington Hills, Mich. (June 2, 2022) – Burns & Wilcox, a globally recognized leader in wholesale insurance brokerage and underwriting, today announced its Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) sponsorship of two collegiate golfers – University of Tennessee’s Bailey Davis and University of North Carolina’s Austin Greaser.

Burns & Wilcox is supporting both amateur athletes as they compete against the best players in the world, in two of the most historic championships of the game. Davis and Greaser will play in the U.S. Women’s Open and the U.S. Open, respectively, while wearing Burns & Wilcox gear. The U.S. Women’s Open tees off Thursday at Pine Needles Lodge & Golf Club in Southern Pines, North Carolina while the U.S. Open starts June 16 at The Country Club in Brookline, Massachusetts.

  • Bailey Davis is a freshman at the University of Tennessee where she earned SEC All-Freshman honors and was the runner up at the 2021 U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship. During the past season at Tennessee, she posted top 10 in 10 tournaments. She will wear a Burns & Wilcox hat.
  • Austin Greaser, a junior at the University of North Carolina, was runner up at the 2021 U.S. Amateur, earning him an entry into the 2022 Masters Tournament and U.S. Open. He will wear a Burns & Wilcox shirt.

“For the past six years, we have sponsored professional athletes in golf and hockey, and are proud to now support deserving amateur athletes before they become champions,” said Danny Kaufman, President, Burns & Wilcox. “We look forward to seeing Bailey and Austin represent the Burns & Wilcox brand and wish them the best of luck at two of the most storied championships in the game of golf.”

Burns & Wilcox currently sponsors three PGA Tour players: four-time winner Max Homa, seven-time winner Webb Simpson and six-time winner Jimmy Walker. The sponsorship with Walker began in 2016 and expanded to include Simpson in 2017 and Homa in 2021. Homa and Walker wear the Burns & Wilcox logo on the right side of their golf shirts and Simpson showcases the logo on the left side of his golf shirt. The company logo is also featured on Simpson’s caddie’s hat and towel and Homa’s caddie’s towel.

“As a proud sponsor of PGA Tour golfers Webb Simpson, Max Homa and Jimmy Walker, Burns & Wilcox has elevated our national and international brand recognition,” Kaufman added. “All are true champions on and away from the golf course, and their commitment to winning and representing the game with class reflects our own pursuit of excellence.”

In addition, Burns & Wilcox has an official partnership with the Detroit Red Wings and the company’s logo is visible on center ice of Little Caesars Arena.
